By all means there is nothing wrong with a stock glock, but why not polish the rough edges? There are a few things you can do at minimal cost and effort to make your glock that much better. We will be going over the best glock upgrade parts you can install for those of you on a tight budget and others who want to go all out.

TRUGLO TFO Handgun Sight Set

TRUGLO TFO Handgun Sight Set

When I first got a Glock and took it out shooting, I quickly came to a conclusion, that I did not like Glock's factory sights. I'm sure there are people out there that will vouch for them, but for me they are always the first thing I upgrade when I get a new Glock. One pair I always go towards are the Truglo TFO. The Truglo's are one of my favorite fiber optic sights, mainly because of price and quality. The sights work great in all lighting environments, from a bright sunny range to complete darkness. In the light the sights lighten up even more, so the green doesn't get washed out if you are shooting where there is a lot of greenery in the background (which is what I was worried about). For whatever the use case, these sights are extremely versatile and a go to for our personal firearm.

Zev Tech Ext Release for Glock

Second item on the list is our favorite upgrade listed because it is relatively inexpensive. The Zev Tech Ext Release is an oversized mag release. If you are like me you will love an extended mag releases, just because you won't need to readjust your grip to drop the mag. Also after practicing fast reloads with the OEM mag release, your thumbs take a beating, but with this release I can practice without my thumb throbbing. The Zev Tech Ext Release comes in two sizes S and L. The small is for compact Glock's like the 43, 19 etc. and the large is for full sized Glock's like the 17, 34 and 17L. If you want a cheap Glock upgrade, the extended magazine release is a great choice for the money.

Extended Slide Stop

Lone Wolf Extended Slide Stop

Along with the Zev magazine release Lone wolf makes a great extended slide stop, and I like it for the same reason. Not having to adjust your grip to manipulate the slide stop is a must for fast reloads. You won't realize you need one of these until it is installed on your Glock. Both of which are extremely easy to install. At 12 dollars there is no cheaper useful upgrade you can do for your Glock.

If you prefer a OEM slide stop lever instead of one made by Lone Wolf Dist you can get one from the Glock store (Link here).

Zev Technologies - Match Barrels for G17 & G19 Threaded

Another great upgrade for your glock is a new barrel. With So many different aftermarket Glock barrels we narrowed it down to one made by Zev. Zev has a solid reputation and is known for there phenomenal machining and all around quality products. Zev barrels are made from pre-hardened chromium stainless steel (416R) that was originally designed for use in Match Grade rifle barrels. It is also compatible for both Gen 3 and 4 Glock's. Not only do Zev barrels have a flashy look they are top notch barrels that are inspected for even the smallest inconsistencies. The Zev barrels also have a traditional rifling which is said to be a bit more accurate and in need of less maintenance then Glock's polygonal rifling (When non-jacketed rounds) with the draw back of slightly less velocity due to the rifling dynamics.

Streamlight Weapon Mount Flashlight

Streamlight Weapon Mount Flashlight

Even though this next one is not an upgrade, but an attachment I still think it is a notable upgrade for your Glock, and for some necessary. The Streamlight Weapon Mount Flashlight is a major functional upgrade you can make to your home defense glock, since you can't take the chance to shoot what you can't see. When it comes to glock flashlight mounts you cannot compare to Streamlight quality. With 800 lumens and a strobe feature you can be sure it will light up anything in the dark as well as blind anyone on the wrong side of your barrel. The Streamlight 692602 69260 has been battle tested and fought its way to be one of the most loved glock lights available today. Weighing in at 4.3 ounces you can be sure this Flashlight mount won't be slowing you down. Having owned this light, we cannot recommend it enough to upgrade your Glock.

Overview

In conclusion, these are the best upgrades for your Glock at various price points. We hope this list has helped you find the perfect upgrades for your needs. If you have any additional recommendations or personal experiences with these upgrades, feel free to share them in the comments below. Happy shooting!
